Who I am and why I'm here

Mandy's journey is a testament to her unwavering dedication to advocacy, education, and the environment. From a young age, she championed the marginalized, breaking barriers and challenging norms. Her experiences, from joining an all-boys basketball league to pursuing a college education far from home, reflect her fearless determination to carve her own path.

Her academic journey, rooted in environmental science and enriched by hands-on experiences in the wild, fueled her passion for environmental education. Mandy's commitment to teaching and mentoring has taken her across the country, from Maine to California and back to Colorado, where she developed and implemented curricula that foster a deep connection to nature.

Mandy's personal life has also shaped her professional focus. As a mother to two neurodivergent children, she has navigated the complexities of education, healthcare, and social systems with resilience and compassion. Her firsthand experiences have deepened her understanding of the challenges faced by neurodivergent individuals and their families, inspiring her to offer support and guidance to others on similar journeys.

Mandy's vision is to create a supportive environment where neurodivergent individuals and their families can thrive. She aims to combine her expertise in environmental education with her passion for neurodiversity, fostering a holistic approach that celebrates the unique strengths of each person. Her goal is to be a trusted advocate, mentor, and ally, helping families navigate the challenges they face while encouraging a deep connection to the natural world.

Her story is one of resilience, passion, and an unyielding commitment to making the world a more inclusive and compassionate place for all.
